Global Week of Action against Gun Violence is organized in around 50 countries aimed at raising awareness on human cost of gun violence and small arms proliferation.

In Cambodia, the Working Group for Weapons Reduction (WGWR) was, as member of IANSA, organizing a Workshop on “National and Global Action against Gun Violence” on Friday, 15^th June 2007. The workshop had the following objectives:

• To raise awareness on consequence of small arms and national action on arms management.
• To raise awareness on international Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) and need of an ATT

The workshop took place at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture with the participation of around 100 people from government, NGOs, students, and media agents. The workshop was broadcasted in daily news of three television channels, two radios, and three newspapers.
